This Opportunity:

Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? Our Implementation team is looking for an enthusiastic Fund Accounting Senior Analyst with more than 5 years of experience. Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and review the preparation of month-end financials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data received for conversion funds, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Review and finalize reconciliations for conversion funds, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved efficiently.
  • Supervise cash and capital activity monitoring within client accounts, addressing escalated issues as needed.
  • Record and approve cash and capital activity, ensuring pending items are addressed and resolved within accounting software.
  • Oversee the calculation, recording, and setup of period-end accruals, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain and review organized, thorough supporting schedules and documentation to meet audit and compliance standards.
  • Prepare the allocation of income to investors and calculation of investor-level fees, ensuring precision and adherence to agreements.
  • Prepare and review period-end financial packages, including investor statements where applicable.
  • Lead testing and provide feedback on new software functionality, identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with the fund's Account Manager to ensure NAV timelines are consistently met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for audit-related questions, providing timely and comprehensive support.
  • Lead the setup of internal systems for new funds being onboarded, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Mentor and train Operations staff on funds transitioning to live status (post onboarding), fostering cross-functional knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support junior analysts in complex tasks, acting as a mentor and resource for professional development.

A Little Bit About You

  • You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant business field such as accounting or finance.
  • You have gained more than 5 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, ideally with hedge funds or private equity NAV preparation.
  • You have proven experience in fund accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • You can manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • You have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and mentor team members.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • You have a proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Experience in fund conversions and onboarding processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with software testing and implementation is also preferred.
