Job Summary:

The Accounting Assistant provides support to the Finance and Operations teams by performing daily accounting tasks. The role ensures the accuracy of financial records, assists in expense tracking, maintains organized documentation, and helps manage the operation's day-to-day financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Transactions & Documentation

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and verify that they are complete and accurate.

  • Check and tally sales reports, POS summaries, and delivery receipts against daily deposits.

  • Monitor and reconcile petty cash.

  • Receive, review, and file invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents.

2. Payables & Disbursements

  • Prepare and process payments for suppliers and utility bills.

  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals before disbursement.

  • Monitor due dates of accounts payable and coordinate timely payments.

3. Receivables & Collections

  • Assist in tracking collections from delivery partners (e.g., Grab, Foodpanda) and corporate accounts.

  • Follow up on outstanding balances when necessary.

4. Payroll Support

  • Provide support in gathering attendance summaries and other payroll-related data.

  • Assist in preparing payroll summaries if required.

5. Reports & Reconciliation

  • Prepare weekly and monthly expense summaries and other required reports.

  • Reconcile bank statements and company records.

  • Flag discrepancies to the Accounting Head or immediate supervisor.

6. Compliance & Records

  • Ensure proper documentation and filing for audit and BIR compliance.

  • Assist with monthly VAT, Withholding Tax, and other government reports as needed.

7. Others

  • Coordinate with suppliers, branch staff, and other departments as needed.

  • Perform other accounting or administrative tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
