About the Role

As a Capability Analyst, you will be part of a team that will be responsible for the Capability uplift of our people. This includes induction, training delivery, driving capability uplift, developing new capability, and governing learning compliance. In this role, you will provide analytical support and coordination for the Capability Function in Australia Commercial. Your responsibilities will include conducting research and data collection, analyzing and synthesizing information, managing records (including compliance records), engaging with stakeholders, managing project and training schedules, and preparing and delivering documentation and presentations.

What will your day look like?

As a Capability Analyst, you will:

  1. Manage the training and compliance records for all Australia Commercial staff, ensuring adherence to Australian regulations in collaboration with the Group Learning and Capability Lead.
  2. Handle the Australia Commercial Capability inbox, responding to queries about mandatory, regulated, and other learning.
  3. Ensure the right people receive targeted training that meets mandatory expectations.
  4. Continuously improve our regulatory and mandatory learning processes and content.
  5. Embrace new ways of working with a growth mindset, embodying the culture and values of the Capability team.
  6. Conduct research, data collection, analysis, and synthesis, and manage records (including compliance records) as required for learning.
  7. Build, design, and review learning materials in alignment with the ANZ Always Learning framework and guidelines.
  8. Process all learning invoices within the allowable timeframes.
  9. Manage project and training schedules; prepare and deliver documentation and presentations.
  10. Complete capability and training coordination activities and reporting.
  11. Ensure compliance with mandatory learning requirements according to regulatory standards.
  12. Adhere to ANZ policies, processes, and external regulatory and legislative requirements.
  13. Manage the Australia Commercial learning curriculum, including mandatory training, role-specific training, course catalogs, and maintaining current course records.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  1. Experience in capability development and in uplifting competency and changing behaviours.
  2. A high level of customer focus (including the ability to understand and anticipate evolving customer needs).
  3. Learning Management Experience (SAP highly regarded).
  4. Demonstrated understanding of industry trends and customer trends in the context of Capability and Learning.
  5. Strong technical skills across Excel, LMS, Confluence (as well as other relevant tools & systems).
  6. A strong implementation and collaboration focus (ability to lead self and others through change).
  7. Experience in using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
  8. Demonstrated effective communication skills (an ability to convey and comprehend information effectively in both spoken and written formats).
  9. A focus on Continuous Improvement & Change (an ability to develop strong change agenda, maintaining focus and ensuring open and constructive dialogue around change).
  10. An understanding of the Australia Commercial Division business (a plus).
  11. A degree or certificate in a relevant field such as business, finance, education, or data analytics (a plus).
  12. A curious mindset and learning agility.
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
