About the Role

The Business Analyst is part of the Financial Crime Delivery and MI team that provides support to ensure strategic and operational objectives are achieved and in line with agreed service offerings. The role is responsible for several key areas:

  1. Lead the delivery of process improvements and BAU/project initiatives to ensure each initiative is delivered in a stable and sustainable manner, while delivering the best experience to our stakeholders.
  2. Ensure the Financial Crime delivery framework and governance is followed for every change.
  3. Ensure all risk in change and ANZ Delivery Framework (ADF) activities are completed with the correct level of governance.
  4. Find opportunities to create efficiency gains, mitigate risks, improve operational performance through automation, process redesign and transformation.

What will your day look like?

As a Business Analyst, you are accountable for:

  1. Leading and delivering small and medium sized initiatives E2E – including but not limited to; requirements gathering, solution design, project planning, project governance, business implementation activities and executing risk in change processes.
  2. Supporting Senior business analysts in the delivery of larger sized initiatives.
  3. Contributing to and driving Delivery Excellence to increase the delivery capability within the Delivery team and within the Financial crime Portfolio.
  4. Promotion and role modelling of delivery excellence best practices and create learning opportunities.
  5. Identifying and understanding the business problem and the impact of the proposed solution on the organisation's operations.
  6. Ensuring adherence to the FCP Delivery framework and the ANZ delivery and governance framework.
  7. Leveraging business analysis skills to define and articulate business and customer needs and drivers to inform decision making, assess and design solution outcomes & identify capability gaps (people, process and technological).
  8. Management of effective and efficient delivery and managing risks, issues and dependencies.
  9. Stakeholder management including management of project stakeholders across FCP and divisions.
  10. Monitoring stakeholder satisfaction and draws on understanding of stakeholders to deliver stakeholder centric solutions and achieve positive outcomes.
  11. Triaging of new work requests, to determine and document all impacts.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  1. A result driven self-starter with a passion for delivery and ability to work across large & medium initiatives.
  2. Proven experience in facilitating requirements elicitation and documentation.
  3. Proven experience in translating business requirements into user stories and support technical development and testing of solution.
  4. Experience in evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, and developing and implementing solutions.
  5. Proven experience in the creation and management of business implementation activities including risk in change activities.
  6. Proven experience in change management activities and techniques.
  7. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with influencing and relationship building ability.
  9. Experience in facilitating training to stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
  10. Familiar in project delivery methodologies (agile, waterfall).
  11. Equivalent experience of at least 5+ years in project delivery, governance and change management.
  12. Proactive attitude to undertake responsibilities that add value, ability to simplify practices, and drive efficiency.
  13. Broad knowledge of laws, and other financial crime obligations locally and internationally.
  14. Knowledge of financial crime (desirable).
