Job Description

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines to facilitate seamless data integration from multiple sources into our data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Implement and maintain data warehousing solutions, ensuring high performance, availability, and reliability of data.
  • Utilize advanced data modeling and schema design techniques to enhance data quality and accessibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, optimizing ETL processes for efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data governance frameworks.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering and software development.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in data pipelining and data warehousing. Background in banking, financial services, and shared services is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and ETL development.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, including PL/SQL, for data manipulation and querying.
  • Familiarity with IBM DataStage or similar ETL tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
