A Day in the Life of a Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Nestlé, you will play a vital role in designing and executing data workflows for our Data Visualization Team. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of data management, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data ingestion, wrangling, transformation, cleansing, and loading data into our data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • ETL Process Execution: Perform the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL/ELT) processes for data sources and datasets in a timely and accurate manner
    • Ingest data from specific data sources into the data warehouse.
    • Transform datasets into usable formats for data visualization and analysis.
    • Clean and wrangle data to ensure quality and usability.
    • Assist the team in extracting and loading datasets from the data warehouse.
  • Back-End Data Support: Provide support for back-end data and database concerns, ensuring the seamless operation of our data warehouse infrastructure.
  • Data Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain the data warehouse and its infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all processes comply with Nestlé's Compliance Standards and Framework.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned in relation to your developmental plan or as required by management.
What Will Make You Successful
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Data Analytics or a related field; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related fields.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python is required.
  • Experience with data ingestion, storage, and transformation, preferably using Azure and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
