Accounting Officer for General Ledger

The Accounting Officer will review the analysis, substantiation, and reconciliation of accounts based on valid and complete supporting documents. He/she will check the accuracy of the reports for submission to the Accounting Manager. He/she will implement accounting methods, internal controls, policies, and procedures in safeguarding the company's assets.

Financial Data Processing:

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions by the team
  • Review daily/weekly accounts analysis, reconciliations, substantiations, and ensure timely submission to the Accounting Manager
  • Review the Schedule of Accounts and Notes to Financial Statements prepared by the processors

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Comply with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
  • Identify noted and potential issues on assigned accounts, support process improvements, and ensure follow-through on issues

People Management:

  • Supervise first-line processors responsible for day-to-day operations
  • Perform consistent and effective coaching sessions to address performance gaps
  • Attend necessary training programs

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in general accounting or financial audit (internal/external), with 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Experience in accruals and account analysis considering complexity and volume
  • Knowledge in the use of computerized accounting systems, preferably SAP
  • Adept in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
  • Proficient in performing account reconciliations
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Quick learner and self-motivated
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Methodical and organized
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes
