Overview

Receptionist, Health Club & Pool role at Melco Resorts & Entertainment. The Receptionist is responsible for efficiently assisting in the daily operations of the Health Club & Pool in accordance with the standards set by the Company and the department to meet the needs of in-house guests, visitors and hotel management.

Responsibilities
  • Identify return guests and VIPs.
  • Meet the requirements of local and international VIP guests, demonstrating appreciation of cultural diversity.
  • Ensure that each guest contact session is a delightful experience for the guest.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas of the Health Club.
  • Prepare fresh and clean massage rooms for Spa guests and ensure completeness of amenities in massage rooms.
  • Perform daily pre-opening/closing cleaning maintenance and complete cleaning maintenance checklist.
  • Check appointment books and set up for treatments; assist guests with purchases from the Spa reception counter, including cash handling and accurate charging to guest accounts.
  • Maintain quality standards of the Department and deliver consistent service.
  • Ensure Health Club & Pool guests follow safety regulations and company policies; do not solicit gratuities.
  • Provide assistance to guests with towels, lockers, and hotel amenities.
  • Convey messages discreetly and maintain guest confidentiality.
  • Maintain Health Club cleanliness to five-star standards; ensure retail products are displayed properly.
  • Inventory tracking and control for loan items (shorts, t-shirts, towels); report maintenance faults.
  • Create positive guest experiences and upsell treatments and retail products to maximize sales and revenue.
  • Attend to guest concerns by identifying needs and fulfilling requests; respond to queries about Health Club & Pool services and products.
  • Establish guest flow processes to deliver the best possible experience and capitalize on revenue opportunities.
  • Perform monthly stock checks and raise purchase orders; manage slow-moving retail items.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, EVS, and Housekeeping to maintain facilities and cleanliness.
  • Attend meetings and training; participate in company activities; follow Lost and Found procedures.
  • Identify best practices for Health Club & Pool operations and participate in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
  • Support energy and waste reduction, conservation of water, and safe operations.
  • Report to duty punctually and adhere to uniform, grooming, and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain professionalism, ethics, and a positive attitude toward guests and colleagues; monitor for suspicious behavior and inform security as needed.
  • Provide basic first aid for accidents as necessary and perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
QualificationsI. Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Day Spa, luxury Hotel Spa, and/or beauty operations preferred.
  • International spa experience is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of body and spa products and able to use products appropriately.
II. Education
  • College Level Diploma / Certificate of any course.
III. Skills / Competencies
  • Computer literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced training skills
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus
IV. Other Attributes
  • Customer service oriented with a proactive disposition
  • Strong work ethic; adaptable to diverse cultures
  • Knowledge of cleaning maintenance; ability to operate and maintain exercise equipment
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including overnights, weekends, and holidays; overtime as needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
