HR Payroll Associate

Payroll Processing: Administer and process the company's payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Data Entry & Maintenance: Enter employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions, into payroll systems.
Compliance: Ensure payroll processing complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including tax deductions, wage laws, and reporting.
Tax Reporting & Filings: Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports (e.g., 941s, W-2s).
Time & Attendance Management: Review timecards, attendance records, and overtime, and ensure adherence to company policies.
Employee Inquiries: Address employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, benefits, and taxes in a timely and professional manner.
Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper retention of documents per company policy and legal requirements.
Benefits Administration: Support benefits enrollment, deductions, and changes in coordination with HR.
Payroll Audits: Conduct regular audits of payroll and other records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Report Generation: Prepare and submit payroll reports, including earnings, taxes, and deductions, to upper management as needed.
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, HR or a related field preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative role.
Knowledge of Payroll Systems: Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Knowledge of Labor Laws: Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and other legal requirements related to payroll.
Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to address payroll inquiries professionally and effectively.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues efficiently.
Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive payroll data with integrity and confidentiality.
