Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Senior Plant Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment within our plant facility. The Senior Plant Mechanic will play a key role in ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and mentoring junior mechanics. This position requires deep technical knowledge, leadership capability, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on plant machinery, engines, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
  • Lead and support scheduled preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and determine root causes to minimize recurrence.
  • Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to guide maintenance and repair work.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to plant mechanics and technicians.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance planner/scheduler to prioritize and execute work orders.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems operate within compliance of safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities in CMMS or maintenance logs.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering departments for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
  • Recommend procurement of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for repair and maintenance.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or TESDA-accredited certification in Mechanical Technology or a related field.
  • National Certificate (NC) Level II or higher in Plant Maintenance or Fitting (e.g., Plant Maintenance NC III).
  • Preferably a holder of Plant Mechanic licensure from the Professional Regulation Commission.
  • Additional training in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or machine diagnostics is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a plant or industrial mechanic, with at least 2 years in a senior or team lead role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, utilities, mining, or heavy equipment plants preferred.
