RPA Developer I

Main responsibility of this role is to provide Automation Development expertise to REPH and the Business Unit(s) that this role supports. This role will work closely with the Automation Supervisor, OPEX managers, and operations leaders to ensure successful delivery of automation projects. He/she will be responsible for the successful execution of the automation lifecycle, specifically the DEVELOP phase, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation solutions deployed. The role involves collaboration with onshore and offshore business partners to:

1. Design and develop efficient automation solutions for reviewed and prioritized processes.
2. Ensure visibility of the project pipeline both locally and onshore.
3. Ensure compliance with Security and Data Privacy standards prior to releasing solutions to production.

Additionally, the role involves involvement in other phases of the automation lifecycle to ensure seamless delivery of solutions, including process mapping, analysis, benefit calculation, project review, and gathering best practices. The role also includes conducting or supporting automation training to build the automation community within REPH.

This position is empowered to recommend automation solutions using the following technology stack: RPA tools such as Power Platform, UiPath, Power Automate, other RPA tools, and Python.

Job Accountabilities:

• Design and develop process automation following core workflow principles that are efficient, structured, well-documented, maintainable, and understandable.
• Hands-on development, configuration, and testing of automation solutions to meet business requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in RPA and Power Platform.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, report status, test, and resolve issues across all phases of automation.
• Collaborate with process experts, SMEs, and stakeholders during analysis, development, testing, and UAT to deliver quality automation solutions.
• Provide training on automation processes and technologies as needed.
• Manage project activities including estimation, planning, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to create high-quality solutions.
• Write and review specifications for system components of moderate complexity.
• Coordinate with the global delivery team to ensure consistent code and workflows for sustainability and future enhancements.
• Address simple bugs and escalate unresolved issues.
• Understand product requirements and translate them into designs.
• Operate in various development environments, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Keep abreast of new technology developments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of development experience with a strong background in programming, specifically in RPA automation.
• Experience coding RPA solutions at an enterprise level using UiPath or other solutions like Power Automate or Python.
• Effective communication skills with technical and management audiences.
• Ability to develop following best practices, deliver well-commented code, and perform unit testing.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with workflow scripting, web services, integration objects, and databases.
• Understanding of automation design and technical documents.
• Exposure to finance-related automation projects is a plus.
• UiPath or Power Platform certifications are highly preferred.
