Overview

The role, under general supervision, is responsible for conducting moderately complex financial, accounting and economic analyses, including journal entry preparation, detailed calculations and internal and external reporting. Duties may include assisting in the preparation of journal entries by compiling, analyzing, and substantiating financial transactions as needed, reconciling accounts as requested, assist in month end/quarterly/year end close process and reporting. Assisting in the annual audit, including year-end schedule and financial statement preparation and assisting with the preparation of tax and regulatory reports.

Position Responsibilities
  • Quality check processed invoices from each service owner.
  • Upload IO billing in IFS.
  • Review existing processes and recommend process improvements.
  • Handle general inquiries regarding chargeback process.
  • Handle and process non-user services such as RFS, Servers, and Azure, etc.
  • Validate and confirm electronic approvals for RFS, IBM, Kyndryl, etc.
  • Help in conducting Training Calibration, Skills Verification and knowledge sharing and participate in meetings.

  • Build networks and relationships with various groups to meet or exceed business objectives.
  • Participate in various accounting/expense/finance projects as they arise.
  • Participate in identifying processes and procedures that can be streamlined and help implement change.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks (clean up, etc.) as assigned by the Business Unit (process improvement, system UAT, etc.) and leader.
  • Act as the "go to" person of the team, and conduct quality checking, error trending and process diagnostics on the transactions made by teammates.
  • Provide training and support to improve chargeback and expense management knowledge.
Advisory and Compliance Tasks
  • I&O Expense Allocations
  • Performs controllership function for the Infrastructure Services spend (analyzing and validating vendor billings, chargeback/allocations of I&O charges, IS investigations and recommendations). The level of detail involves cost center management, as well as other dimensions of expense analysis. Service Now, Workday and Detailed Analysis Reporting tools are highly utilized.
  • Consolidation, Reconciliation and Expense Reporting
  • Responsible for the Consolidation of various Internal and third-party vendor monthly invoices and backup files.
  • Tracks amount recovered from business work areas, investigate charges not recovered from the business work areas and identify the work areas that should be charged.
  • Review, analyze, report and provide variance commentaries on monthly unrecoverable expenditures.
  • Prepare and post IS Significant Variance report.
  • Process Improvements to generate or report Brown & Green Dollar Savings.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure all breaks and settlements are cleared and reconciled.
  • Prepare various IS reports (User Level and High Level), and YTD Unrecoverable Reports.
  • Prepare Journal Entries.
  • Group Mailbox Management.
  • Others related to infrastructure Chargeback Tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • Familiarity with accounting principles (BS in Accounting/Finance or comparable work experience).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1-3 years in related Transfer Agency field preferred.
  • Prior financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to understanding financial software in use.
  • Demonstrates proficiency to create and post journal entries.
  • Demonstrates basic analytical and inquiry skills.
  • Effective interaction and communication skills to communicate issues to management and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Strong computer skills. Example: working knowledge of MS Excel and the Essbase add-in.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of DST 3270, TA 2000, DST SmartDesk and AWD.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while prioritizing deliverables to meet established deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team-focused environment.
