Job Description:

A Chef de Partie (CDP), is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, pastry, or fish. Reporting to the Sous Chef or Head Chef, the CDP ensures high-quality food preparation and presentation in their area, while maintaining hygiene and safety standards. This role requires strong culinary skills, time management, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a designated kitchen station.

  • Prepare and present dishes according to restaurant standards.

  • Supervise and train commis chefs or junior staff.

  • Ensure proper stock rotation and minimal waste.

  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations.

  • Assist with menu planning, cost control, and inventory management.

    Skills & Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 2–4 years of kitchen experience, preferably in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety (e.g., HACCP).

  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead junior staff.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
