Overview

We are seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join Genesys. As a Staff Accountant you will play a key role in managing the financial activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reports.

Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Analyze prepayments and accruals to ensure accuracy
  • Fixed asset accounting, roll forward and reconciliation
  • Experience with accounting treatment of leases
  • Experience with intercompany accounting
  • Experience with preparing payroll journal entries
  • Calculate allocation of expenses across multiple business units and entities
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliation
  • Work with external auditors during annual audit process
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP or IFRS
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems; proficiency in Excel is required, experience with QuickBooks a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
