Overview

Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst (Mid-Level - Manual)

Location: Mandaluyong City / Makati City

Employment Type: Contract

Work Schedule: Day shift

Level: Mid-Senior

Experience Required: Minimum 4-6 years

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze system specifications and business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Design, develop, and execute detailed and structured test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on product requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using test management or issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Validate fixes and perform retesting to ensure issues are resolved
  • Contribute to QA process improvements and share best practices
  • Provide clear and concise test reports and QA documentation
  • Participate in sprint planning and review meetings as part of Agile development cycles
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester
  • Domain expertise in life insurance, insurance tech, or financial services is required
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
  • Experience in writing test plans, test cases, and executing manual test scenarios
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data in databases
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications
  • Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman for API testing)
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications
  • Familiarity with API testing and debugging
