Key Responsibilities:

a. Contract Administration

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the EPC contract, ensuring strict compliance with all terms, conditions, and schedules.
  • Serve as the focal point for all contractual correspondence and notifications between the Employer and the Contractor.
  • Oversee the variation order procedure, including evaluating the necessity, cost, and time impact of any proposed changes
  • Quantity Surveying & Cost Control:
  • Perform measurement and valuation of the work completed on-site to verify interim payment applications submitted
  • by the contractor.
  • Review and certify the "Schedule of Payments" and "Milestones" to ensure payments align with actual, verified progress billings
  • Maintain detailed records of quantities, rates, and prices to assess the financial impact of any variations or claims.
  • Monitor the project budget and provide regular cost monitoring and reports to project management.

b. Claims Management

  • Manage and assess all potential claims submitted by the contractor for extensions of time or additional costs, ensuring they comply with the procedures outlined in the contract.
  • Prepare and substantiate any counterclaims the Employer may have or be entitled to against the contractor.
  • Participate in negotiations to resolve contractual disputes and claims, including all variations and adjustments, amicably.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with contract administration and quantity surveying on major EPC projects, preferably in the power or heavy infrastructure sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of international standard contract forms (e.g., FIDIC).
