Which is as much about the experience a customer has in our stores in finding the products they want while also discovering new ones. As a National Category Analyst, you will play a crucial role throughout the product lifecycle -- from assessment and assortment to merchandising, pricing, and promotion, culminating in the results that drive you to look for the next iteration.

Once onboard you will:

• Analyze company wide sales and marketing information for assigned categories, envision the next steps for that category based on the data, and inform our buying, sales and marketing teams to assist them in driving sales goals.
• Analyze, interpret and provide insights/conclusions on large amounts of transaction and customer/shopper data globally and by marketing area, to communicate impactful recommendations to business leaders
• Creatively articulate the insights behind the data and help our team iterate category futures
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder needs both effectively and sensitively
• Own seasonal reporting related tasks including building and launching sell through and seasonal performance reports for all assigned categories

NON - NEGOTIABLE SKILLS:

• Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present data findings, write reports, and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Solid SQL writing / coding (Structured Query Language) / Google Cloud Big Data Query experience (at least 2 years of solid experience): Essential for querying databases and managing large datasets.
• Spreadsheets: Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
• Statistical Programming Languages: Knowledge of languages such as Python and R for data analysis and visualization.
• Data Visualization Tools: Experience Power BI.
• Data Cleaning and Preparation: Skills in cleaning and preparing data for analysis.
• Big Data Tools: Familiarity with big data frameworks.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tools: Understanding of ETL processes and tools for data integration.
• Statistical Analysis: Strong foundation in statistical methods to interpret data accurately.
• Database Management: Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing.
• PowerApps experience is a plus: Ability to create custom business applications without extensive coding.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent grocery industry experience required. 2-year general retail experience a plus. Financial, Accounting, or Economics degree is a plus
• 1-3 years' experience working with shopper-generated or household/transaction-level data
• Passion for Data and Financial Analytics
• Strong Financial Acumen, ability to work with and understand large volumes of financial data. Understanding of P&L and vendor funding is a plus
• Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced level on Excel and Power Point
• Intermediate to advanced level expertise using business analytics software. QMF, and Power BI preferred
• Basic understanding of computer programming language such as Python and SQL a plus
• General knowledge of segmentation models and an ability to synthesize and summarize large amounts of information clearly and concisely
• High degree of initiative with strong planning skills; must be able to work independently and be a team player
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to solve complex problems
