Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Promotes organization services and products to customers.
  • Responsible for installing, configuring, calibrating and providing life cycle maintenance of GEA machines and equipment.
  • Work focus on installing, configuring, calibrating and repairing technical machines and equipment at customer field/plant locations.
  • Plans, schedules, and performs preventative maintenance and technical support on installed machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves malfunctions of machines and equipment with minimal downtime to production.
  • Responds to unscheduled service calls, especially during emergency calls (i.e., shutdown).
  • Communicates effectively with customers to resolve outstanding issues, obtain feedback, and ensure proper site/account control.
  • Documents, keeps records, and carries out diagnosis of faults, maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
  • Identifies and escalates any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
  • Reports breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to Management.
  • Supports Service Sales in determining when products should be upgraded or replaced.
  • Provides on-site training for customer support personnel.
  • Manages incident resolution and Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance management.
  • Works cross-functionally to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Provides technical training and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Offers technical advice and consultancy support to other departments.
  • Looks for opportunities to gain additional business from existing customers and establish relationships with new customers.
  • Serves as primary contact for GEA machines and equipment for small and medium customer issues.
  • Sets a positive example by following and enforcing company policy.
  • Cooperates with country organization strategies and standardization protocols and guidelines.
  • Promotes teamwork, maintains a positive attitude, and supports the concept of one face to our customers.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned by Management.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • College Graduate or Vocational Technical Course.
  • Professional accreditation with an industry-related body would be advantageous.
  • Broad knowledge and technical skill in Industrial Heating & Refrigeration Technologies.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and electronic background with a working knowledge of other disciplines.
  • Commercial understanding of the impact of failure/downtime on production and ultimately customer delivery.
  • Proficiency in English and local language.
  • Strong analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, and high technical aptitude.
  • Valid driving license.
