Overview

Sales Development Representative (Permanent Work from home) at Lightspeed Commerce. This role targets inbound inquiries and qualifying warm inbound leads for Lightspeed's Hospitality team, acting as the first point of contact for hospitality businesses exploring our solutions. Engage and qualify leads through phone, email, chat, and other channels.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Act as the first point of contact for inbound leads from channels such as website inquiries, marketing campaigns, product trials, and events
  • Qualify leads based on business needs, fit, and readiness to purchase, ensuring smooth handover to Account Executives
  • Manage and nurture a pipeline of inbound leads through consistent follow-up until they're sales-ready
  • Partner with Marketing to follow up on campaigns and provide feedback on lead quality and effectiveness
  • Build strong knowledge of the hospitality sector, customer pain points, and competitive trends to better guide prospects
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives and internal teams to ensure seamless lead transitions and contribute to team initiatives
What You Need To Bring
  • Proven experience selling across multiple channels (phone, email, social) and using varied sales processes
  • A previous business-to-business sales background engaging with SMBs, ideally within the hospitality industry
  • Strong track record in qualifying leads and building a healthy sales pipeline
  • Hands-on experience with sales CRMs, such as Salesforce
  • Sales experience in new business development, preferably within SaaS solutions
  • Familiarity with the Australia/New Zealand market is a bonus, but not required
