Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing all inventory management activities to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize losses, and support the smooth flow of materials and products across the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership in managing warehouse and inventory staff, and the ability to collaborate with procurement, production, sales, and logistics teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies between physical and system records.

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of incoming and outgoing materials/products in the inventory system (ERP or equivalent).

  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to forecast inventory needs based on demand planning and sales forecasts.

  • Optimize warehouse layout, storage, and inventory flow for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Analyze inventory trends to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and recommend corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Lead, train, and supervise the inventory and warehouse team, ensuring accountability and performance.

  • Prepare and present regular inventory reports, KPIs, and variance analysis to management.

  • Collaborate with finance for accurate inventory valuation and audit readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (with Accounting background preferred).

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in inventory management, warehouse supervision, or supply chain operations.

  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, QuickBooks) and MS Office applications.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices (FIFO, FEFO, JIT, etc.).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
