Product Marketing Manager

PURPOSE

To lead the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging for our IT products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IT industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to create compelling marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement and product adoption.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with sales and product teams.
  2. Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft clear, compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that differentiate our solutions in the market.
  3. Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  4. Sales Enablement: Develop sales collateral, presentations, and training materials to equip sales teams with the knowledge and tools needed to sell effectively.
  5. Demand Generation & Campaigns: Collaborate with the demand generation team to create targeted marketing campaigns, including content marketing, digital advertising, and email campaigns.
  6. Customer Insights & Feedback: Gather customer feedback through surveys, interviews, and data analysis to refine marketing strategies and enhance the product experience.
  7. Content Creation: Work closely with content marketing teams to produce blogs, whitepapers, case studies, and webinars that drive product awareness and engagement.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between product management, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment on product launches and initiatives.
  9. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize marketing effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

Minimum Experience/Training

  1. At least 5 years experience in product marketing, preferably in the IT or software industry.
  2. Strong understanding of IT products, SaaS, cloud computing, cybersecurity, or enterprise software.
  3. Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-friendly messaging.
  4. Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
  5. Proven track record of executing successful go-to-market strategies.
  6. Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM software, and analytics platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics).
  7. Ability to work cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing teams.
  8. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Competency

  1. Experience in B2B marketing within the IT industry.
  2. Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing strategies.
  3. Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies in product development.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. May require working beyond normal business hours, including weekends and holidays to meet project deadlines or address urgent client issues.
