Overview

The Junior Web Designer / Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining websites using WordPress (with Elementor) for a wide range of clients. The role involves delivering high-quality websites, collaborating with internal teams, and working directly with clients to ensure functional, on-brand, and mobile-optimised outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and update websites, from single-page sites to e-commerce stores.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, project managers, and other team members.
  • Ensure websites are delivered on time, on budget, and meet technical and brand standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues and run routine updates.
  • Maintain project documentation and contribute to scheduling.
  • Liaise directly with clients by email, phone, and video calls.
  • Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and apply best practices.
Essential Skills
  • Strong English language skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in designing and building websites using WordPress, ideally with Elementor Page Builder and/or WooCommerce.
  • Must have experience using WordPress CMS.
  • Knowledge of WordPress plugins.
  • Experience using the Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Attitude is everything – we're looking for "I haven't done that before but happy to have a go and work it out."
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable understanding client objectives and taking initiative, even when all the information isn't available.
Desirable Skills
  • Basic coding (e.g., HTML, CSS).
  • Experience using WooCommerce and Elementor.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of web hosting servers.
  • A good eye for design and UX.

  • Keen to develop technical and client-facing skills.
