
Head Appraiser

The Head Appraiser is responsible for leading the appraisal team and overseeing all valuation activities within the pawnshop. This includes managing daily operations, training and mentoring junior appraisers, and ensuring accurate and consistent valuations of a wide range of items, such as jewelry, electronics, and other valuables. They are also tasked with staying current on market trends, resolving complex appraisal disputes, and maintaining strict adherence to company policies and legal regulations to minimize risk and maximize profitability for the business.
Responsibilities- Lead the appraisal team and oversee all valuation activities.
- Manage daily operations of the appraisal function.
- Train and mentor junior appraisers to ensure consistency and accuracy in valuations.
- Ensure valuations are accurate and consistent across a wide range of items (e.g., jewelry, electronics, and other valuables).
- Stay current on market trends and resolve complex appraisal disputes.
- Maintain adherence to company policies and legal regulations to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- A bachelor\'s degree in any field.
- A minimum of three years of experience as an appraiser, with a focus on a diverse range of items like jewelry, electronics, and other valuables.
- A minimum of three years of managerial or supervisory experience, including leading a team and overseeing daily operations.
- Willing to start ASAP
