Overview

The Area Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing sales operations within an assigned territory. This role ensures that sales targets are met, distributors and retail partners are supported, and market opportunities are maximized. The supervisor leads and motivates a team of sales representatives, implements sales strategies, monitors performance, and builds strong customer relationships to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and motivate sales representatives within the assigned area.
  • Implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor team performance, product visibility, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure proper execution of trade promotions, merchandising, and marketing programs.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management.
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Coordinate with logistics, marketing, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and sales processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, or distribution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused mindset.
