PURPOSE

To ensure smooth function of VSAT Operations and maintenance of VSAT Hub equipment including routine checks of all related equipment and devices such as Protocol Processors, NMS, Line Cards, modems, HPA's, LNB's, upconverter.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, or equivalent degree.
  • CCNA is preferred.
  • Preferably a licensed Engineer or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Business Understanding: Willing to be trained in VSAT field: VSAT iDirect networks and hub (management and operation), building up/configuring VSAT iDirect networks, iDirect networks troubleshooting (hub and remote), iDirect tools (iMonitor, iBuilder, iSite), system configuration, test processes, procedures, and flows.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Operations and Maintenance

  • Efficiency and effectiveness in the operations, maintenance and/or troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Thorough analysis of logs and generation of reports.
  • Proper documentation and updating of records related to operations and maintenance.
  • Lead preventive and/or corrective maintenance of equipment.
  • SLA adherence for service requests.

Planning and Quality Control

  • Participation in the planning, installation, and integration of new or replacement equipment in the VSAT system.
  • Ensures that regular checks for quality control of installations equipment and documentation utilized by the VSAT system is performed.
  • Accuracy of system integration.
  • Regularity of checks and accuracy of documentation.
  • SLA adherence.
