Position Description:

  • Oversee and manage the overall accounting functions, including, but not limited to: Accounts payable, Sales and Accounts receivable, supplies and asset inventory, month-end closing reports and P&L flux analysis, and admin reports that may be required from time to time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review of AR and GA functions such as SOAs, Sales Report including Cash Sales, DRR, MTD, Incidental Deposits, Cash Float, and Online Bank transfers.

  • Check the completeness of Revenue reports and accuracy of Revenue recon journal entries.

  • Check and summarize Audit reports (cash, sales, etc.) and quickly report irregularities found in certain areas of responsibility of other departments.

  • Supervise AP staff and review payment requests (RFPFs), ensuring hotel disbursements are regularly monitored.

  • Supervise supplies stock replenishment as required.

  • Review asset disposal requests from other departments.

  • Assist with all Department Purchase Requests and follow-ups.

  • Review Concessionaire's sales reports and SOA for breakfast buffet, walk-in officers' checks, catering, and room charges.

  • Review chargeback requests to bank.

  • Assist Head Office with year-end financial audit requirements.

  • Prepare and summarize the current department status of hotel accounting for monthly Business Review.

  • Perform other duties and functions as required.

Skills/Competencies Needed for the Job:

  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant accounting software/applications (SAP experience is a plus).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong leadership and report presentation skills with a focus on results.

  • Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques.
