Overview

Kayana is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud FinOps Manager with significant hands-on experience in leading financial operations for cloud services. This role will be instrumental in driving cloud cost optimization, budgeting, and strategic financial planning across multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud platforms, financial modeling, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, data-centric organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Financial Strategy & Governance: Lead the development and execution of cloud financial management strategies aligned with company goals. Implement FinOps best practices to ensure accountability and cost optimization across cloud services.
  • Cost Management & Optimization: Monitor and analyze cloud spend across providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and business units. Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to improve cloud resource efficiency. Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to implement automated cost control mechanisms.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead cloud budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with Finance and Technology teams. Provide regular and ad-hoc financial reports, insights, and variance analysis to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement: Act as a key liaison between Technology, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units. Champion a culture of cost accountability through dashboards, workshops, and training on cloud financial literacy.
  • Tools & Automation: Evaluate and implement cloud cost management tools and dashboards (e.g., CloudHealth, Cloudability, native tools). Drive automation in usage reporting, billing reconciliation, and chargeback/showback processes.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in cloud cost management, IT finance, or cloud operations in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in managing multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud pricing models, billing practices, and optimization techniques.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with FinOps tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Financial management – budget forecasting, actuals monitoring, OPEX/CAPEX management.
Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or certification in FinOps is a plus.
