1. Key Account Management & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth and strengthen the Modern Trade Accounts partnership.

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with key decision-makers/buyers at Modern Trade Accounts to ensure effective collaboration and long-term business expansion.

  • Identify opportunities to introduce new SKUs and expand the product portfolio for food and non-food categories.

  • Analyze key account data and market trends to implement innovative programs and promotional strategies.

  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure trade initiatives are aligned with the needs of Modern Trade customers, with a focus on SM accounts.

2. Distribution & Merchandising Excellence

  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with merchandising standards, product availability, and trade execution.

  • Ensure On-Shelf Availability (OSA) and optimize Must-Stock Lists (MSL) to maximize product visibility and accessibility.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Admin Group for accurate order encoding and seamless delivery coordination.

  • Partner with SM to execute distribution strategies and maximize store-level performance.

3. Sales & Trade Marketing Execution

  • Implement high-impact trade promotions and in-store activations to boost sales performance.

  • Analyze sales data to assess promotion effectiveness and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure trade marketing efforts align with overall brand strategies and category growth initiatives.

  • Develop customer-focused campaigns tailored to SM's shopper behavior and purchase patterns.

4. Accounts Receivable & Financial Compliance

  • Oversee official receipt (OR) validation and ensure compliance with SM' financial processes.

  • Enforce OR remittance policies and monitor deductions to maintain financial accuracy.

  • Implement strategic trade promotions with proper budget allocation and approval.

5. Inventory & Bad Order Management

  • Coordinate with SM on trade returns, bad order retrievals, and stock clean-ups to support inventory health.

  • Ensure proper execution of the Bad Order Policy, keeping trade return rates within acceptable levels.

  • Work closely with supply chain teams to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in managing Modern Trade accounts, preferably with direct handling of SM Retail.

  2. Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and motivate a sales team.

  3. Proficient in data analytics and sales performance evaluation.

  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

  5. Highly organized, strategic thinker, and results-oriented.
