3P Project Planner

The role focuses on tolling and turnkey plants within the E2E Performance Team to deliver KPI targets. The Planner will work with 3P suppliers to ensure finished goods availability based on production schedules and communicate delays or changes to the broader team. This is largely an operational and tactical role with some commercial knowledge required for inventory targets and reporting/data analytics.

Key Challenges
  • Learning a planning system (DDMRP) and using it in daily work
  • Managing changing customer expectations across market segments
  • Coordinating with PLM and other teams for product launches and transitions
  • Balancing inventory and delivery targets across multiple priorities
  • Working virtually with 3P suppliers and contract holders

  • Coordinate with Lubricants Supply Chain teams to identify value-saving opportunities

Supply Planner

Pack finished goods planning from Shell-owned Lube Oil Blend Plants (LOBPs). The Supply Planner will manage the pack portfolio for 1–2 LOBPs in the North American Shell network, using planning systems to determine production quantities and ensure customer service metrics while balancing inventory for working capital optimization.

Additional Responsibilities for Supply Planner
  • Manage inventory settings and prioritize orders to meet customer delivery targets
  • Review monthly inventory targets and make trade-offs based on RDC capacity and customer expectations
  • Coordinate deployment of pack and bulk finished goods between Shell sites
  • Build truck-load shipments and manage movement of finished goods between RDCs and LOBPs
  • Support the Deployment Inbox for Customer Ops to address product availability issues
Principal Accountabilities
  • Deliver regional OTIF targets for pack finished goods
  • Manage inventory to optimize working capital and DIO targets
  • Achieve cost efficiency and DDMPR compliance
  • Reduce backorders and support cash flow
  • Support new product launches and sustainability agenda
Key Challenges
  • Learning DDMRP and Kinaxis planning systems
  • Managing evolving customer expectations across markets
  • Coordinating product launches with PLM and other teams
  • Balancing competing priorities around inventory and delivery targets
  • Working virtually with LOBPs/RDCs and E2E Performance Team

Additives Planner

The Additives Planner schedules inbound components to blending facilities and toller plants in North America to ensure additives are available for daily production plans. This role supports customer service indices (CSI) and inventory targets (DIO) and OTIF. Responsibilities cover 2–5 plants with potential coverage for other areas of the US network.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Inbound management for additives, including truck/rail traffic and cost management
  • Master data/buffer management for plants and portfolio
  • Coordinate with plant operations to ensure availability for daily production

A successful applicant will also need commercial knowledge to manage inventory targets. The US Lubricants packed network includes 6 Lube Oil Blend Plants and 7 Regional Distribution Centers, with >$1B C3 margin and growth goals.
