Your Role
  • The Sustainability Management Officer will support the Head of Sustainability Management in delivering the Bank's sustainability agenda. The role involves monitoring ESG initiatives, preparing sustainability reports, coordinating with stakeholders, and developing awareness and capacity-building programs.
  • The officer is expected to assist in project management, track implementation progress, and contribute to compliance, communication, and internal learning aligned with Maybank Group's M25+ Sustainability Strategy and BSP regulatory requirements.
  • The Head of Sustainability Management oversees the Sustainability Management Officer, Green Lab Advocates (GLAs), and Sustainability Points-of-Contact (POCs) to ensure delivery of key sustainability commitments.
How you will contribute?
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate ESG-related data from business units
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reports (e.g., annual reports, BSP Circular 1085 & 1128 submissions)
  • Draft internal advisories, newsletters, and materials on sustainability programs and milestones
  • Develop creative, engaging content for campaigns and communication platforms
  • Assist in tracking implementation of sustainability initiatives across business units and support teams
  • Follow up on deliverables and update project status reports
  • Assist in fulfilling the department's Project Management Office (PMO) role
  • Assist in organizing sustainability learning sessions and knowledge sharing activities
  • Coordinate with Group and local stakeholders on proposed learning programs
  • Prepare minutes, documentation, and compliance records for sustainabilityrelated meetings and activities
Your Profile
  • Must have Degree in Accounting/Business/Economics/ Environmental Science or relevant discipline.
  • With at least 3 years general working experience in banking/financial sector, preferably in areas related to strategy, sustainability
  • With at least 3 years general working knowledge on Sustainable Finance, Sustainability Reporting and Standards, project management and initiative activations
  • GRI and IFRS Certification is preferred but not required
