MORNING SHIFT - 6AM to 3PM Manila time with some flexibility required.
OFFER - up to 35k basic (depending on experience) plus allowance.
Role Overview
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of all payroll duties for a key US client operating in the tech industry. The role requires expertise in payroll processing, income tax management, and the administration of allowances and benefits. A proactive approach to compliance, accuracy, and efficiency is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Payroll Management: Process payroll efficiently and accurately for the assigned US client, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Income Tax Administration: Proactively manage and ensure accurate calculation and remittance of income tax, adhering to Philippine tax regulations, and minimizing end of year tax deficits.
- Allowances & Benefits Administration: Efficiently manage allowances, deductions, and benefits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Government Remittances: Ensure timely and correct submission of statutory remittances, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions.
- Payroll System Management: Utilize payroll technology platforms to streamline and improve payroll processing. Knowledge of leading payroll systems is highly favorable.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain payroll records, generate reports, and ensure adherence to company policies and government regulations.
- Client Engagement: Liaise with the US client as required to address payroll-related inquiries and ensure service excellence.
- General Payroll Support: Provide support with ESC's regular payroll operations when required.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in payroll administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of Philippines payroll experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Philippine income tax regulations and government remittance requirements.
- Experience in administering employee allowances, benefits, and deductions.
- Strong proficiency in payroll systems and technology platforms.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with an international client.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional client engagement outside standard hours.
- Experience working with US-based clients or in a BPO environment is highly desirable.
