POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior HR Officer will play a key role in managing and optimizing HR functions to support the overall growth and success of the organization. The Senior HR Officer is responsible for overseeing HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of HR best practices to drive employee engagement, development, and organizational effectiveness.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruitment and Staffing: Oversee and manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding. Ensure the organization attracts and hires top talent aligned with business needs and values.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees to resolve conflicts, foster positive workplace relationships, and ensure a healthy work environment.
  • Performance Management: Manage and support the performance review process, providing guidance to managers on goal setting, feedback, and evaluations. Assist in developing and implementing employee development plans to drive performance improvements and career growth.
  • HR Policies and Compliance: Ensure that HR policies and practices are up-to-date and comply with local laws and regulations. Advise on legal matters concerning employment law and HR compliance.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate employee training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Work closely with department heads to identify training needs and create development opportunities.
  • Compensation and Benefits Administration: Support the HR Manager in administering compensation, benefits programs, and payroll. Assist in maintaining competitive pay structures and ensure benefits programs meet employee needs and compliance requirements.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture. Gather and analyze employee feedback to continuously improve the workplace environment.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular reports on HR metrics (e.g., turnover, recruitment, absenteeism, etc.) and provide insights to management to support decision-making. Monitor trends and suggest improvements based on data analysis.
  • HR Projects: Lead or participate in various HR-related projects such as organizational development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and employee wellness programs.
  • Advisory Role: Provide HR advice and support to line managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee matters. Offer guidance on disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and employee performance issues.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. (A Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.) This will be a full time onsite role.

Experience:

At least 5 years of HR experience, with a focus on generalist HR duties. Experience in managing HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, and performance management is essential.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficient in HR software (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems) and MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with HR metrics
