OverviewInternally called Supply Chain Director, this role is responsible for supporting the company's strategic goals and improving business performance in the supply chain function. The position has overall responsibility for supply chain operations in the Global Capability Center (GCC) in Manila, in partnership with US leadership and GCC leadership. The GCC Supply Chain Director will oversee the entire GCC supply chain team’s performance and ensure the GCC provides the required support to the organization. The role requires understanding customer needs, aiming for customer satisfaction, and bringing leading practices to the organization. Responsibilities include governance of analytics, ensuring compliance with laws and policies, and promoting best practices related to procurement and supply chain technology. The GCC Director also oversees externally provided business services and local supply chain activities, advises leadership on critical issues, and coordinates implementation through supply chain staff.
Responsibilities- Execute the GCC-wide strategy for the supply chain function. Manage procurement of supplies, equipment and services to support operations and lead support for procurement activities for the GCC; manage externally provided business services.
- Supervise and enhance strategies, plans, and policies supporting the supply chain function.
- Collaborate with IT and maintain responsibility for supply chain ERP and technology system management and development to enable effective procurement operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in service levels through development and tracking of KPIs, and manage vendor master/data.
- Identify leading practices and cost reduction opportunities by streamlining processes and systems.
- Drive alignment between policies, training curricula, reporting methodologies, and other enablers to support compliance with healthcare and company policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve externally provided services through KPI development, tracking, and reporting.
- Perform periodic assessments of externally provided services including compliance, testing, reporting, and training improvements.
- Manage escalation and issue resolution for externally provided services, including root cause analysis and action plans.
- Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery for externally provided services.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable leadership to expedite resolution of exceptions/discrepancies to ensure timely payment and vendor master data accuracy.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates; monitor performance and take corrective actions as required.
- Ensure activities meet quality standards.
- Responsible for budgeting staff and finances for the procurement function.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise staff.
- Establish and maintain relationships within the GCC and US business units; assist stakeholders with problems.
- Act as a key contact to US business units and guide GCC teams to perform transactions processing per agreed SLAs.
- Develop and drive organizational effectiveness and support the GCC on major initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, materials management, operations, health care, or related area (required).
- Master's degree in business, supply chain, materials management, operations, health care, or related area (preferred).
- Certification preferred (e.g., CPM, CMRP).
- At least 10 years' experience in a management/leadership role overseeing large supply chain teams (required).
- At least 3 years' experience with responsibility over a supply chain team in an offshore location (required).
- At least 7 years' experience overseeing supply chain operations for a global organization (required).
- At least 7 years' experience with ERP systems, specifically in Supply Chain (required).
- Experience managing teams in a shared service center environment with training, coaching, and development experience (required).
- Healthcare experience preferred; governance and compliance work with policy development and implementation (preferred).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, databases, BI tools, and ERP systems (supply chain modules) (required).
- Experience with ERP packages (preferred).
- Workday software and reporting tools (preferred).
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships across diverse geographies and business units.
- Fundamental knowledge of procurement practices and healthcare regulatory requirements across multiple spending categories.
- Excellent process and query management skills; experience with process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to champion change and innovation; support team members who initiate change while aligning to company objectives.
- Highest personal and professional integrity with the ability to earn credibility with peers, senior leadership, medical staff, and the Board.
