Job Description

Conducting legal research using various sources, including statutes, case law, and legal databases, to gather information for attorneys. Preparing legal documents like contracts, briefs, pleadings, and other court filings. Organizing and maintaining case files, including documents, exhibits, and other materials. Assisting attorneys with trial preparation by assembling exhibits, organizing witness binders, and preparing for depositions. Communicating with clients to gather information, explain legal processes, and provide updates on cases. Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating with other professionals in the legal field. Investigating facts, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses. Preparing and filing legal documents with the court. Staying current with changes in legal regulations and providing updates to attorneys. Collecting and compiling documents, witness statements, and other evidence for attorney review. Preparing contracts, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings or client use. Maintaining organized case files, including documents, exhibits, and discovery materials. Preparing witness binders, assembling exhibits, and assisting with other trial-related tasks. Gathering information from clients, explaining legal processes, and providing updates on case progress. Researching case-related issues, statutes, and precedents. Scheduling appointments with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals. Preparing for depositions by gathering relevant documents and interviewing witnesses. Coordinating the collection, review, and production of documents in response to discovery requests. Verifying the accuracy and completeness of legal documents and filings.

Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field such as Political Science or Criminal Justice.

  • Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies
  • A minimum experience of two years in a paralegal role
  • Investigative mind and strong research skills
  • Working knowledge legal database software
  • Experience in preparing legal reports
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
