Position Staff Accountant – Somewhere (Job ID: 15615) Role Overview We urgently need a Staff Accountant to join our finance team in the Philippines, working remotely Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST. The role is critical to maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in our financial operations. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cash reconciliation and monitor payment activity, collaborating with centers on collections. Maintain and update fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Execute month‑end close duties, including preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and supporting the review and distribution of monthly financial reporting. Ensure accuracy across high‑volume, multi‑location transactions. Maintain records for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets. Assist in preparing financial statements and special reports for management. Support audit and tax return preparation as needed. Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and/or Payroll when required. Contribute to process improvements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (accounting degree preferred). 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate setting. Proficiency with Sage Intacct. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices. Excellent command of written English for email communication. Highly detail‑oriented, able to handle high‑volume reconciliations across multiple entities. Self‑motivated, able to prioritize, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a remote team. Additional Information Pay Range: $1,300 – $1,800 per month.
