Our client is seeking a self-motivated Architect to join their team and bring expertise in ADU feasibility, site planning, architectural design, and permitting. The ideal candidate is curious, driven, and eager to understand every aspect of project delivery—from conceptual design to code analysis. This is a fast-paced role where project timelines typically range from 1 to 2 months. The Architect must be capable of managing their own projects independently while actively collaborating with the company’s remote team through project reviews, process improvements, and daily communication. This position focuses primarily on accessory dwelling units (ADUs)—including attached, detached, garage conversions, townhouses, and condoization—and requires proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD. The Architect will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing architectural drawings, integrating permitting processes, working with city planners and creating both 2D and 3D renderings. A blend of creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail is essential.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (12:00 AM – 9:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform the following design responsibilities:
    • Model existing spaces using Revit from point cloud data
    • Develop conceptual floor plans, elevations, and renderings
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and team design reviews
    • Support senior architects with concept development and technical drawings
    • Produce 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and models using Revit, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Ensure brand consistency across all drawing sets
    • Coordinate and integrate engineering plans
    • Ensure compliance with ADA, safety, zoning, and local planning codes
    • Prepare full drawing sets for permit submittal within 3–6 weeks of project start
    • Submit and manage the permitting process with municipalities until approval
  • Perform the following documentation responsibilities:
    • Research building codes, zoning laws, materials, and sustainability standards
    • Communicate with city planning and engineering officials to ensure quick and compliant submissions
    • Stay current with architectural trends and technologies
    • Draft and revise specifications, construction drawings, and technical documents
    • Prepare detailed architectural plans, including sections and construction details
  • Perform the following tasks related to client and team collaboration:
    • Attend and contribute to client meetings, presenting design concepts and progress
    • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal team members to meet project requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • 3+ years of experience in a multi-client architectural environment
  • Proven ability to prepare detailed construction documents
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required)
  • Experience modeling from point clouds in Revit
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Experience creating 2D/3D renderings and animation (CGI is a plus)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-directed and able to work autonomously in a remote environment
  • Passion for learning and growing architectural knowledge
