Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Senior General Ledger Accountant:
- Manage and perform general ledger activities including Fixed Assets, Intangibles, Leases, Intercompany Transactions, Transfer Pricing, Prepaids, GRIR, Stock Rotation, Accruals, and Tax-related entries.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and conduct variance analysis.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, Payroll, FP&A, and other teams to ensure data integrity.
- Support process improvements, system upgrades, policy development, and mentor junior staff.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior General Ledger Accountant should have:
- CPA certification is required.
- Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA is a must.
- Strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP, accounting principles, and internal financial controls.
- Skilled in using Concur, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and banking platforms such as JPMorgan Access.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and driven to ask the right questions and contribute proactively.
