Role: Strategist / Planner
Location: Manila, Philippines
About the roleAre you looking for an opportunity to innovate with brands? This role involves developing strategy, creative concepts, content and campaign implementation. The Planner will report to the Global Planning & Strategy Director and partner with account, delivery, and creative leads. It is a client-facing role, collaborating with client brand teams, central marketing project teams, and the client’s agency partners. This is an entrepreneurial, curious role within a partnership between OLIVER and a client team with a global footprint.
What you will be doing- Develop insights and strategic responses to briefs across campaign, content and new product development briefs
- Champion and drive a mobile-first and short-form content agenda
- Evaluate ideas and concepts against client best practices, strategy frameworks, and mobile-first approaches
- Establish effective ways of working with client internal teams and specialist partners
- Act as a content expert and advocate within the client team
- Advise clients on approaches to effective content strategies that inform content briefs and requirements
- Assess, develop, and implement content strategies to meet client briefs across touchpoints
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops with client teams and partner functions (Search, Social, Media, CRM, Ecommerce, Content, Data)
- Facilitate right-first-time content outcomes with insights and collaboration
- Collaborate with account, brand, and media functions to develop relevant measurement frameworks to ensure effectiveness
- Ability to work within the client collaboration model with relevant teams and partners
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Strategy role with Content Strategy as a core function
- Strong understanding of Content Marketing across Social, Mobile, Search, Display, Dotcom, E-commerce, and related channels
- Strong understanding of Content: Formats, Performance, Testing, Optimisation, and SEM-SEO
- Strong understanding of Content Publishing and Distribution methods and technologies
- Ability to interpret multi-channel insight reports and present justified work based on insights
- Passion for Content and awareness of trends and tech
- Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment and leading workshops
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile team
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Previous experience with FMCG, particularly Personal Care or Beauty brands
- Interest in AI and new technologies; ability to learn and apply AI tool benefits
- Willingness to learn and incorporate AI into design processes
