National Business Development Director

Location: Cebu City, Cebu

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead nationwide growth initiatives in logistics and freight solutions, with a strong emphasis on developing opportunities in the government sector and cultivating partnerships with leading cargo forwarding companies. This role will be instrumental in shaping the company’s presence across the country, driving revenue performance, and strengthening relationships that support long-term competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, pursue, and secure large-scale transport and logistics projects, with a focus on government programs and institutional contracts.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with top freight forwarders and shipping companies to expand commercial reach.
  • Develop strategies to broaden market coverage across inter-island shipping routes, ports, and logistics hubs nationwide.
  • Oversee compliance with public sector procurement policies and ensure contract obligations are delivered with excellence.
  • Represent the company in high-level negotiations, presentations, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Provide leadership in crafting business development plans, setting revenue targets, and monitoring performance outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Public Administration , or related field; advanced studies (MBA or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain , including 5 years in a senior commercial or business development capacity.
  • Proven success in securing and managing government-related transport projects or forging alliances with large-scale forwarding firms.
  • Knowledge of Philippine port operations, inter-island shipping dynamics, and logistics frameworks .
  • Familiarity with government bidding processes, procurement protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively nationwide to pursue new opportunities and oversee project execution.
