Overview RELX Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines Join to apply for the Cloud Database Administrator II role at RELX . Lexis Nexis Legal and Professional operates a large platform for applications and services to legal professionals across the globe. As part of the SRE and Cloud Operations team, this role helps support all of the critical relational and non-relational systems that power our advanced search and retrieval systems. Our systems are primarily hosted in the AWS cloud and we manage and maintain a large set of databases technologies to support our business. Lexis Nexis is on the leading edge of technology adoption and are leading the market with the adoption of AI systems driven by LLM technologies. As a DBA you will use AWS database management skills to help optimize the creation, deployment and operation of databases technologies across production and non-production systems globally. This position requires solid relational database development skills in addition to specific experience with AWS RDS databases. This role supports critical customer applications that must be operational 24x7 with a 99.99% uptime goal. Responsibilities Automate the creation of standard database configurations for a wide variety of platforms including Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server Maintain, support and upgrade database systems as required Work with AWS to coordinate mandatory version upgrades Assist development teams with migrations between database platforms e.g. moving Oracle databases to Postgres Troubleshoot performance issues and assist development teams with query optimizations Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation Manage all capacity decisions for production deployments including technology selection, high availability configuration, storage and compute needs, etc. Assimilate knowledge in support of non-relational databases like DocumentDB, Dynamo, Apache Solr, Cassandra, Redis etc. Requirements Bachelor’s degree holder (Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering preferred) At least 2-3 years of overall DBA experience Scripting capability (Python, BASH, etc.) Work experience with Oracle database platform, Postgres database a plus Experience with automation and IaC tools like CloudFormation and Terraform is good to have Experience using AWS RDS systems is good to have Demonstrated experience solving performance and capacity problems; AWS certifications are desirable but not a requirement; we will give you the resources required to study and achieve critical certifications as part of your role Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries Technology, Information and Media Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at RELX by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for Database Administrator roles. #J-18808-Ljbffr
