Job DescriptionPosition: Financial Operations And Reporting Specialist
Summary: The role supports Global BI and Financial Operations with SAP BW administration, development, and monitoring for BI toolsets (Azure Data Factory, Power BI). Requires collaboration with SAP BI Reporting Analyst, Functional, Security and Basis teams, and adherence to change management standards. Flexible shift including evenings and weekends with on-call for high-priority issues.
Responsibilities and Qualifications are described below and will be refined and expanded as needed to support BI and SAP BW operations.
Principal Responsibilities- SAP Business Warehouse (BW): Day-to-day development and administration; end-user support and training for BW BEx reports; development/modification of BW landscape objects; development of SAP BEx Queries and Workbooks; monitor daily process chains; manual data loads when needed; coordinate landscape changes with testing scenarios; coordinate with Basis for technical issues; collaborate to increase monitoring knowledge of Business Objects; monitor error logs and short dumps; assist with user GUI connectivity; research OSS notes and implement as needed; maintain BW process documentation; build relationships with Reporting, Functional, Security, Transition Management and Project teams; coordinate with Security for issues; create/update documentation related to BW Objects (in English).
- General BI Support and Admin: Route support tickets to appropriate resources and ensure SLA; monitor Data Factory orchestrations; assist in Power BI workset assignments; contribute to continuous improvement for Incident/Change processes; assess customer requirements for BW services; comply with GIS security policies; undertake other duties as required; assist in defining technical requirements for system maintenance and future functionality; align requirements with Abbott SAP Functional team and business; advise on best development approaches without compromising current functionality and future needs; create and maintain technical documentation.

- Time management, prioritization, and workload organization; curiosity in BI trends; strong customer service orientation; ability to work with direction or independently; strong problem-solving with technical and customer support integration; excellent written and verbal communication; SAP BW knowledge (design, upgrades, security coordination); BW performance tuning; Power BI experience; Business Objects administration; Service Now / ITIL familiarity; strong documentation and collaboration skills.
- Minimum 6 years SAP BW development; 2+ years BW admin; BW data modeling experience; ABAP knowledge in BW ETL; Open Hubs usage; SAP Business Content Extractors; BW data providers; knowledge of SD, MM, FI, COPA; BEx Analyzer familiarity; Experience with Power BI; strong service desk collaboration; knowledge of Windows, Office, SharePoint, MS Teams; ITIL environment exposure; Service Now familiarity; ability to work in a team and in cross-functional settings; strong documentation and testing practices.
