Metro Manila Philippines International Container Terminal Services, Inc. Full time

The Financial Reporting Senior Specialist is a key contributor to the Global Corporate Controllership Group in preparing internal reports for Senior Management and the Audit Committee of the Board, and in ensuring compliance with external financial reporting requirements submitted to the SEC.

I. Essential Functions:

  • Prepares and supervises monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation, including preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for submission to the SEC and/or Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE); performs financial accounting analysis; reconciles intercompany balances; reviews and validates input data; processes consolidation entries; uploads trial balances to SAP BPC for other entities; and reviews certain financial transactions.
  • Reviews or leads the preparation of financial statements of entities within the Group in compliance with Group accounting and reporting policies and the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) for entities located in the Philippines.
  • Administers and maintains SAP BPC, including resolving issues encountered by the Financial Reporting team as well as subsidiaries and associates during monthly submissions.
  • Assists subsidiaries and other affiliates in resolving technical issues, including accounting research and preparation of technical accounting memoranda.
  • Supervises the preparation and maintenance of the books of accounts of certain companies within the Group, as needed.
  • Liaises with external auditors and coordinates with other departments as required.
  • Continuously reviews new accounting pronouncements and determines their effect on the Group; provides technical accounting advice, research, and support to ensure compliance with latest reporting requirements, including SEC pronouncements and other regulatory agencies.
  • Prepares ad-hoc analyses and performs other tasks as required by top management.
  • Participates in special projects as needed.

II. Job Requirements and Competencies

a. Skills and Abilities:

  • Good analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications, including active listening.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with coworkers and external contacts; able to work effectively in a team and present a professional image.
  • Excellent Excel skills (Power BI, dashboarding, and graph preparation are a plus); proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.

b. Knowledge and Experience:

  • High technical proficiency with respect to Philippine/International Financial Reporting Standards (P/IFRS).
  • 4+ years of work experience in professional auditing or accounting, with at least 6 months of supervisory/senior associate experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with SAP systems is a plus.

c. Professional Qualification and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.

d. Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.
  • Monday to Friday, generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
