An Accounting Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to efficiently handle a high volume of transactions, and a commitment to both accuracy and speed in all financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Process high-volume transactions monthly with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and process outgoing payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and bank deposits.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors, partners, and shareholders, and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing.
  • Maintain up-to-date and precise financial records following company policies and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Assist with month-end closing and generate accounts payable reports as needed.
  • Support audit processes and contribute to process improvements.
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for assigned client projects after the initial support and training period.
Requirements and Skills
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure while managing a high volume of transactions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred.
