JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for developing and executing media strategies while organizing and managing PR events. This role requires a combination of strong communication skills, creativity, and organizational abilities to enhance the organization’s public image and engage with key stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to foster positive media coverage.
  • Media Relations: Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials to communicate news and events.
  • Media Relations: Monitor media coverage and track mentions of the organization to assess public perception and inform future strategies.
  • Media Relations: Coordinate media outreach for events, including inviting journalists and facilitating interviews with key spokespeople.
  • Event Planning and Management: Plan, organize, and execute a variety of PR events, such as product launches, press conferences, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Event Planning and Management: Collaborate with internal teams to develop event themes, objectives, and promotional strategies.
  • Event Planning and Management: Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, catering, audiovisual needs, and registration processes.
  • Event Planning and Management: Ensure seamless on-site execution of events, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and align event objectives with organizational goals.

  • Evaluation and Reporting: Analyze the success of media outreach and events, gathering feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in media relations, event planning, or public relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across various levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and event planning software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
