This critical role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services essential for our operations. The Lead Buyer will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain, driving cost efficiencies, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support Allegro's growth and innovation.**What You Will Do*** Lead the procurement process for assigned categories, including strategic sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation of terms and conditions, and contract management.* Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain efficiency.* Manage supplier relationships, conduct regular performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with key vendors.* Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments to understand material requirements and ensure seamless supply chain integration.* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and logistical challenges, to ensure continuity of supply.* Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing benchmarks to inform procurement decisions and identify new sourcing opportunities.* Drive cost savings initiatives through effective negotiation, value engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies.* Ensure compliance with Allegro's procurement policies, ethical standards, and relevant industry regulations.* Mentor and support junior buyers, contributing to the development of the procurement team.**What You Will Need*** 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.* Proven track record of successful negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier management.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed procurement decisions.* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of building strong relationships internally and externally.* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing plans.* Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement tools.* Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, C.P.M.) is a plus.
