Sr. Commodity Lead Buyer role at Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH

Mid-Senior level, Full-time position in the Purchasing and Supply Chain function within the Semiconductor Manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain working relations with suppliers assigned.
  • Monitor stock and inventories of local warehouses, and plan quantities of parts and materials needed, with respect to production and delivery plans.
  • Negotiate contracts and specific conditions for delivery of parts, materials or services.
  • Ensure timely procurement and order management to ensure parts and materials are appropriately delivered.
  • Ensure supplier performance reporting, announce and clarify claims, if necessary.
  • Buy mid-volume (direct and/or indirect) materials, parts, or services for the local plant(s) or site(s) assigned; regularly plan, evaluate and monitor the needs of local requisitioners.
  • Utilize existing frame contracts and agreements, and buy from additional sources if necessary and appropriate.
  • Plan the needs according to plan, monitor relevant stock inventories, and place the procurement orders.
  • Plan and carry out routine evaluation of suppliers, conduct call for tenders, evaluate offerings, and support supplier management; address claims to settle disputes within given limits.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Mid-Senior level experience in purchasing and supply chain roles (implied by Seniority level).
