Head of Network Development

Overview

JOB PURPOSE: The position shall be responsible for supporting growth targets of Generika through accelerated store network expansion strategies.

JOB FUNCTION:

As part of the responsibilities, the role includes implementing store expansion strategies, assessing site viability through business intelligence and analytics, determining the right business model for proposed site locations, managing the store network development process to achieve cluster location leadership, overseeing lease management including renewal contracts and terms review, coordinating with third-party real estate consultants, preparing accurate site forecasts, proposing the right business model, and effectively managing the site acquisition process to ensure on-time and efficient site turnover. The role also involves overseeing and negotiating lease renewals, rental agreements, and maintaining harmonious lessor relationships.

• Implement store expansion strategies.
• Assess viability of sites through business intelligence and analytics. Determine the right business model for proposed site locations.
• Manage store network development process with the end in mind of achieving cluster location leadership.
• Oversee lease management including lease renewal contracts and review of lease terms and conditions.
• Build and coordinate third party real estate consultants.
• Prepare accurate site forecasts and propose the right business model.
• Effectively manage the site acquisition process to ensure on time and efficient site turnover.
• Responsible for overseeing and effectively negotiating lease renewals, rental agreements, and harmonious lessor relationship management.

• Education and work experience:
• Bachelors of Business Administration, Business or equivalent is relevant for this role.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience preferably in the food or drug retail industry.
• Excellent knowledge of the real estate market and retail competition.
• Well versed in working with Profit and Loss.
• Strong networking and negotiation skills.
• Competencies:
• Proven knowledge of information analysis
• Hands on experience data collection analysis
• Applies logic to solve problems and get the job done.
• Proficient in using accounting software, preferably SAP, MS Office applications and business intelligence tools
• Skilled at both oral and written communication that can influence others. Uses effective examples and visual aids that have an impact on the audience.
• Ability to obtain information from several sources to address present needs.
• Has personal and professional ethics and fosters a diverse and respectful workplace.
• Can enlist the support and cooperation of others and encourage them to be proactive.
• Ability to respond to the clients and anticipate their needs.
