Data Engineer – Senior Data Engineer

ERNI is a leading software development company with a global presence. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in Manila, Philippines. The role involves delivering data analytics solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting data engineering requirements across the organization. The resource reports to the D&IT Business Solutions Manager for Data in the Philippine market.

What You Will Do
  • Develop Data Engineering Requirements using Azure Data Factory, Python, SSIS, and other relevant tools.
  • Deliver Data Lake and Data Warehouse related solutions.
  • Provide ad-hoc data requirements and build simple dashboards.
  • Support and maintain existing pipelines, queries, stored procedures, and reports.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and deliver solutions.
  • Develop reports and simple dashboards in Power BI.
  • Create and update documents such as ERD, Technical Requirements Documentation, Business Requirements Documentation, and Mapping Documentation.
Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Interact with the local D&IT team to deliver and support Data Analytics requirements.
  • Provide architectural solutions as needed and ensure high-quality data delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
What We Need From You (Qualifications)
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering.
  • Development in Azure Data Factory is a priority; experience with AWS Glue or GCP Cloud Data Fusion/Flow is considered.
  • Python programming skills in Data Analytics/Big Data are a must.
  • Cloud Data Engineering skills in Azure (preferred), AWS, and/or GCP.
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or Data Lakehouse.
  • Modern Data Architecture and Data Modeling experience.
  • Experience on at least 2 enterprise-scale Data Engineer projects.
  • Power BI or knowledge of BI tools is a must.
  • Good communication and writing skills; ability to manage stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Machine Learning/AI understanding is nice to have.
