Overview

You will play a central role in the accounting, finance, and administrative functions of a rapidly growing education company. This position involves working closely with management to strengthen overall governance and develop financial strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Company-wide financial and accounting management (budget vs. actual management, cash flow management)
  • Formulation of management strategies and financial plans in collaboration with executives
  • Management of the accounting team (staff development, promoting process improvements)
  • Establishing workflows and governance structures
Example Daily Workflow
  • Morning meeting
  • Task confirmation with the accounting team
  • Reviewing daily journal entries and processing
  • Regular meetings with executives
  • Coaching and reviewing team members\' work
  • Preparing analytical reports related to financial planning
Team Structure
  • 1 Japanese Accounting Manager (this position)
  • 14 Filipino accounting staff

  • Accounting software: QuickBooks
  • Communication: Lark (equivalent to Slack)
  • Excel / Google Sheets

Career Path

Currently, we operate in over 10 countries.

This role will manage the accounting teams across three local entities in the Philippines.

We have approximately 3,000 employees in the Philippines alone, with countless related tasks to oversee and improve. Initially, the COO will provide close support.

Compensation

Compensation can be broadly adjusted depending on experience. While the initial range is as listed, considering the scale and responsibility, salaries exceeding PHP 200,000/month may be possible in the future.

  • Practical accounting and finance experience in a business company

Preferred Skills
  • Work experience overseas or in multicultural teams
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and taxation (Philippine standards)
