Staff4Me is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tier 1 Technical Engineer specializing in networking to join our team. This role involves providing first-level technical support to clients, focusing on networking issues and solutions. You will troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries effectively using your technical skills.
Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries regarding networking issues, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve network connectivity problems for clients.
- Document interactions with customers in our ticketing system and provide timely updates.
- Assist in setting up and configuring networking equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 support teams to escalate unresolved issues and document cases thoroughly.
- Maintain current knowledge of networking protocols, configurations, and best practices.
- Provide training and support for clients on networking tools and resources.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss issues, share knowledge, and improve support operations.
- Experience in technical support, preferably focused on networking.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with networking tools (e.g., Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
